Top 5 Celotex Website Changes

Believe it or not the first ever web page on the internet went live almost 24 years ago, and it certainly wouldn’t have looked like the websites that are available online now. As technology has advanced, so too have websites, which is why, here at Celotex, we are constantly looking to improve the functionality of our site. is the central platform of all information relating to the Celotex, from company and Regulatory news, new product information plus our full range of literature available for free download. As time has passed we have also introduced the Celotex Member’s Area, providing visitors with their own e-portal where data is project specific.

So, let’s talk about some of the newer features of the Celotex website that you might not know existed.

The Celotex Members’ Area is a portal of information with practical features designed to help you understand our products better making specification easier. From calculation to product comparison, our Members’ Area is designed with you in mind.

Over the last year, our website boffins have been working behind the scenes updating and improving sections of the website to make them better for those using our Members’ Area.

Number 1. ‘My Projects’Celotex Member's Area - my projects

Firstly, you now have the ability to edit and delete project folders. The ‘My Projects’ Area allows you to gather information on a project, bringing together datasheets and brochures plus downloaded BIM files within a single file to help you organise exactly what you need for that project.

Having listened to feedback, we made some changes and given you, as the user, the ability to alter project information. Whether it’s project size, start on site date or project name, you now have the ability to make the necessary changes. You can also delete your project should you wish to – its your project after all!

Number 2. Celotex Password Requirements

In order to keep your information secure, the Celotex Members’ Area requires a login password which, over the years, has been the cause of a fair bit of confusion. Naturally, as with any login, we can be inclined to forget our passwords. Don’t worry if that’s the case, click the ‘forgotten password’ or contact our team  and we can reset your password for you.

We also realised that perhaps our password requirements were a little strenuous. In the past it has been essential that the password includes a certain amount of characters, a capital letter, a number, and the word marmalade. Ok, perhaps not the last bit but the rest was true. We have changed that now, simplifying password requirements to 7 characters in total including a number. If you have any queries relating to your login details, please do not hesitate to get in contact with our marketing team who will be happy to assist you.

Number 3. Brochures and Datasheets

Next up we take a look at our online library. Within the Celotex Members’ Area we have a section dedicated to all of our company literature. That means a fair few documents all in one place. So, to make it easier for those on the site, we decided to add in a search function that will save you some time. Typing in for example, ‘GD’ will take you straight to the datasheet.

Number 4. BIM models split down by file

Many people are still getting to grips with BIM but the National Building Specification state it as simply ‘the means by which everyone can understand a building through the use of a digital model’. Realising it’s potential and growing popularity within our industry, Celotex have got an entire library of BIM files which can be found on the Members’ Area. To try and make it as easy as possible to navigate, we have separated files by BIM objects and Celotex products, including a search feature to narrow it down.

Number 5. Thermal bridgingIcon

Celotex is proud to present a comprehensive range of thermal bridging models featuring our industry leading PIR insulation products. This new tool gives you the information you need to understand the build-up required to prevent heat loss through a typical junction of elements or around openings. Typically heat loss through these elements can account for 15% of the total heat loss over an entire building. So, how do they help you? As a member you have full access to download these models and use them for your projects!
