The use of perimeter upstand insulation is key to stopping heat escaping through the edge of the screed or concrete oversite in solid floor constructions.

Celotex TB4000 is well suited to use as vertical perimeter upstand insulation, alongside Celotex GA4000  or XR4000  for the main floor area, offering a highly thermally efficient floor build-up. The upstand should finish flush with the top of the screed layer; the depth should be equal to the sum of the concrete slab, insulation, and the screed thickness. The upstand thickness should not exceed the combined thickness of the wall linings.

Celotex TB4000 offers a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K, as well as featuring zero ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential.
